  • Post 8 - Double Factions Arena's & Weekend Event

Starting at 19:00GMT this Friday, is double faction and double gladiator points in Team and Random Arena's.

Make sure you take advantage of this, if you use these arena's!!

The weekend event is now over, with a couple of days left to collect your "demon" mask, although to be honest i was expecting the mask the "performers" were wearing, the mask we got is kind of an anti-climax towards it, and looks like a cross between Alien and the Predator. Still something to show off to people that you was there!

I personally spent the weekend sat on the "Nine Rings" and got my Lucky title to 45,000 tickets. It cost just over 50platinum in gold, but is worth it when it comes to farming hard mode with Lockpicks.

The higher rank you got in "luck," chest farming and identification the higher the chance that you will keep your lockpick. - same rule applies to salvaging components and runes/insignia from weapons and armor. Remember you get a bonus for keeping your lockpicks in normal as well as hardmode,

A tip for farming lucky points : go to Ascalon, Shing Jea or Istan and farm chests using lockpicks, you get a high chance of keeping your key's and get the bonus.

  • Post 6 - Dragon Festival

    Canthan Dragon Festival

This weekend is the second Dragon Festival for Cantha! The Shing Jea Boardwalk opens up again for us this year, so get prepared for increasing those Lucky/Unlucky titles!!

The event starts at 7PM GMT Friday, (the real time at which the world starts!)and finishes early monday morning.

This year the mask is called the "Demon Mask" and you'll need 250 victory tokens by the end of the festival. But you will be able to collect your mask up until Sunday, July 15th.

This year there is a "re-enactment" of last years events, where demonic creatures tried to ruin the event, and as part of the entire weekend the community had to complete a set of missions/quests to get the things they needed.
As to whether it will be the exact same thing, or something similiar is yet to be seen

  • Post 5 - Guild Wars: Eye of the North

The upcoming expansion for Guild Wars -

There is a lot of confusion when it comes between the information available for GW:EN and Guild Wars 2. Yes In Guild Wars 2 you can develop your character beyond the limits that have been around before, but no the level cap has not risen. You will still not be able to get your character or its attribute points past level 20

At Games Radar, they have had an interview with some A-Net staff and have put up the information they gleamed up for all of us to read

  • Post 4 - Alliance Faction Count

Huzzah to all of us who participated during the weekend event, we managed to push our Alliance past the 2million mark, which is highly impressive for an Alliance which does not concentrate on Faction farming as a whole, White Mantle Legends [WML] contributed to this massively, pushing their Faction count past the 1 million mark, with the rest of the Alliance adding up the other 1million.

Only another few million to go, and we will own a town!

There are benefits to owning a town, which mostly include access to that particular towns private area, where the merchants will sell to you with a with 20% discount (normal Identifaction Kits cost 80gold instead of the standard 100gold.)

Keep pushing and donating and eventually we will have a town to call our own!
